​RSSC is an active hobby robotics club formed in 1989.
Our primary goal is to promote and advance the art of robotics and the surrounding technologies by providing a fun and exciting meeting place where people of all ages and from all walks of life, from the novice to the large-brained pocket-protector-wearing robot guru, may gather and exchange knowledge information and ideas.

🚀 Can large language models (LLMs) actually reason?  Or are they just an elaborate example of a "stochastic parrot"? A recent study from Apple makes the claim that rote memorization is responsible for the appearance of logic and reasoning and has some data to back it up.  But is it true?  Or is it another example of moving the goalpost so we can feel better about ourselves?  There are convincing arguments that suggest an alternative conclusion.
